Meet your Chief of Creativity

Hi, I’m Ruth! I’m your designated dream-unlocker and unblocker here at So Mad About Design. With equal parts enthusiasm and education, I’m here to teach you the fundamental design skills you need to get started in your epic journey of digital and graphic design discovery.

When I’m not mentoring young minds, you’ll find me exploring the country in a campervan with my hubby and our three kids or design-deep in a new creative adventure as the designer, illustrator and intentional heart at Rumu Creative.

No young creatives were harmed in the making of these educational experiences. But, um, they had a LOT to say about them!

I loved learning how to use Procreate to draw a portrait, and had heaps of fun designing a poster to give as a gift. I learnt that what I did, didn’t need to be perfect, it was unique and that is part of what makes my style mine! The lessons were easy to follow and I liked how I could pause them to do the work and follow along.
