Term 4 So MAD Graphic Design + Digital Art Classes [Hervey Bay]

Secure your spot by 2nd of October to join other keen designers-in-the-making in our So MAD Graphic Design and Digital Art class!

These classes are perfect for 9-14 year old young creatives who are mad about design and would love to develop their design and digital art skills.

Classes will run for 8 weeks on Tuesdays, 4-5pm, starting on the 10th of October (17/10, 24/10, 31/10, 07/11, 14/11, 21/11, 28/11).

WHERE: The Neighbourhood Hive- 184 Boat Harbour Drive, enter the car park via the gates opposite the old Bunnings. Please drop off and pick up students within 5 minutes of class start and finish times.

WHO: 9-14 year olds

This term we’ll be embracing our entrepreneurial spirit, with the goal of designing a range of products to sell at the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre Youth Market (3/11 and 1/12).

• Our weekly lessons would focus on coming together to design a number of products to sell, for example- Keyrings, badges, prints and cards.
• This will be a fantastic chance to explore product design, identifying their target audience, budgeting, marketing and more.
• We would aim to attend the market on the 3rd of November and 1st of December.
  • Our first class is on the 10th of October, giving us 4 classes before the market on the 3rd of November, and then another 4 classes before the 1st of December market.
• While at the market, we will schedule "shifts" of 1-2 people at the stall at a time. It'll be a team effort!
• 8 classes and some start up costs for products included in term fee.
• All participants will need to read and sign the HBNC t and c's for the event.

BRING: Students need access to an iPad and apple pencil (along with the Procreate App) for digital art. We may also be using Canva (free membership). This can be used on an iPad or computer.

Students should arrive with their iPad and apple pencil charged and ready to go. Other materials are provided.

A minimum number of students is required to run classes, if minimum numbers are not met you will be refunded your class fees.
